Kellie Martin is she is an American actress and filmmaker best known for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the family drama Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. She is also known for playing the title role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin was the daughter of a department-store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her career as an actress at age seven, when her aunt, who was the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin to get her a character in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television and film industries.
